Noah's First Game of Freeze Tag

A few weeks ago, Noah saw a little girl he decided he wanted to be friends with. She was probably about six years old and was riding a bike. He shouted and ran after her for two blocks or so. Through grass, down a hill, over a little bridge. He ran his heart out and the little girl kept looking back and peddling away. Finally, the three of us reached her house, her mom opened the door commented on how cute Noah was and the little girl disappeared inside her house. Noah stood knocking on the front door until I could convince him that he'd have more fun at home with Ash and me.

Today, I took Noah to the little tot lot in our neighborhood to play with his new soccer ball. We discovered he likes dribbling the ball and running all around so we bought him a soccer ball today.

When we got to the park, the little girl he had chased was playing freeze tag with a group of other little girls. They were probably all between six and eight.

"This is my lawyer. He'll get me out of trouble and is the only person who can unfreeze anyone." The little girl was smiling and pointing at Noah.

Noah picked up a stick and then his first game of freeze tag began. Noah ran after all the little girls laughing and as they would get tagged and become frozen they would beg Noah to touch them with his stick to unfreeze them. Noah laughed the whole time and so did the little girls. Then he started to really like the power and he would unfreeze some of them and not others and then laugh and wait for them to beg.

Eventually the little girls decided that the lawyer was giving preferential treatment to the little girl he had chased a few weeks earlier and the game ended.

Noah looked at the group of girls who had all began to argue with each other. Then he threw his stick down and started singing and dancing. All of the little girls started to do exactly what Noah was doing and everyone started laughing again.
